Miracle Mile
A couple of our guides have been sampling the goods up at the Mile lately, their clients tying into more than a few huge lake run fish towards the bottom of the section. Bring your “A” game if you want to get these bad boys to the net, as they tend to be large and in charge. The Mile was dropped to 1,500 cfs as of today, which should only improve clarity and hatches as the water slows a bit, and our guests are taking full advantage of the driftboat approach, since the Mile’s large and slippery boulders make wading a difficult affair. Most of the fish on the Mile can be found in the deeper runs anyways, so it makes sense to let the guide do the work to put you over the fish!
