The fishing on the Horn has been fantastic. Big fish are on the feed. Last week we had some moisture and some creeks threw in some color but it clears very fast with 2200 CFS of cold clear water coming down the valley. It fished great right through the colder days. Big BWO hatches at about 2 oclock. The streamer bite is definitely on. Rusty, Goldie, and the Kreelex are all taking fish. Nymphing is very productive. Purple Back Scuds size 16, Pink Hothead Sow Bugs size 16, Gray Hot Head Sow Bugs size 16 dropped with Gray or Black Mayhem Midge or a Bubble Back BWO. When you do see a rising fish my targeting dry rig is an 18 Purple Parachute Adams with any color 18 Mayhem dropped off.
