“It’s all good”!
We are happy to report great fishing top to bottom on all our waters! This time of year, is super fun to fish because of the variety of insects you and the fish have to choose from. These fish are feeding hard but what do they want today? The Caddis are popping, PMDs are hatching, and we are coming into stonefly season. There is A LOT of food coming down our tailwaters right now!
Bighorn: Flow: 1,268 CFS. The Bighorn has been kicking out some great fish on streamers. The river is a bit mossy. The Thin Mint, and the Kreelex have been taking some big fish lately. Also, fish The Thin Lizzy, The Rusty Trombone and the Gonga in cream and olive. Hopper dropper is also in play and cuts down on the moss opposed to nymphing. Fish your favorite foam hopper (we like the tan chubby chernoble) with an anatomay dropped off. However, nymphing is still effective with sow bugs and mayhems.
