The fishing on the Big Horn river is SOLID! This is especially true for the anglers willing to nymph the deep green water. The flows have increased to 1200 CFS and the water is pretty clear despite a few recent rain events. What’s working? We’re nymphing sow bugs, worms, midges, and small beatis BWO patterns. You can find some decent surface activity when the wind dies down in the afternoons. Try a caddis, BWO or parachute adams. The best time dries is around Noon – 4pm on overcast days. Streamers aren’t lights out but definitely worth throwing! Try a Rusty trombone or a baby gonga in olive or tan! Fish on!
