Summer is coming to an end and we couldn’t be more stoked on our fishery! Currently, the water below the Grey Reef Dam is flowing at 1500 CFS. It’s still turd and worm season so you can’t go wrong with the Pat’s Rubber Leg and a red worm! Some of our favorite variations of this system include: T.J. Hooker, hot head thin mint, and vanilla bugger for the top fly. Drop a squirmy worm in purple or red and you’re good to go! We have been seeing some fish looking up! A good targeting rig is a size 18 purple adams with a black mayhem below. A good traveling rig is a “hop drop n’ roll” with an olive or tan anato-may below. If you’re into ripping some junk we recommend thin Lizzie’s, yellow two hook Johnnys or a Jaw breaker in olive or rust. Weather is looking real nice in the coming weeks, give us a call for a day on the water with your favorite guide or swing by the shop and we’ll hook you up with the good stuff.
