The Grey Reef is fishing really well. Flows are steady at 500 CFS. Wataer clarity has been really good overall, with the occasional bump depending on weather swings. Nymphing remains the name of the game. Think San Juan Worms, sow bugs, leeches, and small baetis patterns. Baetis are really starting to show up, especially on those overcast, moddy days that we live for. The streamer bite has been sneaky good especially on the warmer days. Slow it down and fish the banks.
The fish are happy, healthy, and putting up a fight. It’s not a bad time to be on the water if you don’t mind a little Wyoming weather.
